DoubleTree by Hilton Virginia Beach

Ms. Ivy made the stay satisfactory, and I hope to see her next time. I was in town for business, and check-in was quick and easy. The beds could be better: they're low to the ground, and the mattresses felt flat and thin, though I slept okay. The shower curtains wouldn't close properly on either side because of the curved shower pole. Parking also costs extra, which wasn't ideal when many other hotels offer it free. A big thank you to Front Desk Agent “IVY” for helping me order room service when I couldn't reach the kitchen. She was amazing and really awesome.

We came for the Grant Holloway Invitational at the sports plex across the street and would stay here again if we return to Virginia Beach. Venus helped extend our stay and keep us in the same room, which we really appreciated. At 1AM, an adult party in the next room woke us up, but Eric at the front desk dealt with it right away. Everyone on staff was friendly and very helpful. The beds were comfortable, the restaurant food was good, and the hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas. A very positive stay.

The front desk clerk was professional and offered me cookies. The hotel is nice, but the walls are thin. The people next door had their TV on all night, and I could hear their conversations.

The shower pressure was really weak, and the beds were so soft they didn’t offer much back support. The room and the rest of the property were clean and felt fresh. With just three elevators serving such a big building, though, getting one took forever.
