Fairfield Inn by Marriott Visalia Sequoia

Our family booked three nights but had to leave within 12 hours because of the conditions. We found live and dead cockroaches and spiders in the room, and with our 11-month-old crawling, it didn't feel safe. At breakfast, our 7-year-old son got a blistering burn from the waffle maker. Staff had no basic first-aid supplies to help him, and the hot water airpots had coffee grounds in them. Corrina was helpful and responsive, but management's follow-up felt dismissive and lacked urgency. Maria Freitas should be fired. She was the most unapologetic, dismissive, aggressive, rude general manager I've ever met. This stay was very disappointing and concerning, with serious failures in cleanliness, safety, and guest care. I wouldn't recommend this place, especially to families.

The pool closes at 10 p.m., and kids were still running around at 11:30. That doesn't make for a guaranteed good night's sleep. Otherwise, the hotel is nice for the price, with decent rooms that feel mostly contemporary. It's a good place to stay if you're planning a trip to Sequoia National Park.

I came from Topeka, Kansas, and had a wonderful stay. The staff were sweet and caring, greeting me from arrival through checkout. The place was clean and beautiful, and our room had a great view. They had all the simple things I needed, and the price was great. I was comfortable right away, especially in the plush, amazing Beautyrest beds. I'll keep staying here in the future.

First time here, just one night, and it was a great place to stay. Checkout service was great, and the food was good. Breakfast isn't a full spread, just basics like waffles, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, fruit, and drinks. I'd definitely recommend the oatmeal, especially with the toppings, if they serve it again. EVERYTHING CLEAN!
