Franciscan Inn

The grounds are open and peaceful, with plants along the rooms and pool, and the other guests were nice too. Inside, my room looked gorgeous and was very clean. The staff were wonderful, especially the manager, who was friendly, respectful, and spent time interacting with people around the grounds. The location helped make the stay and getting around manageable, with plenty of shops and businesses nearby and North County Square not too far away. There's a bus stop right by there that goes from Escondido to Vista. We'll definitely be back.

My friend was very sick and went to The Franciscan inn so he wouldn't get his sister sick. He paid $120 for room 138, and it was awful. There were roaches, the bathroom was filthy, and the shower kept leaking. The heater didn't work, so he was freezing. The bedspread had cigarette burn stains and smelled like it hadn't been washed. When I brought him food, I couldn't believe how disgusting the room was. He was so uncomfortable and cold. I would've asked for a refund. The furniture was way outdated, the carpet had cut holes in it, and the room wasn't worth $40, let alone $120. It's a dive, and in my opinion these rooms should be torn down. It's a shame they're rented out at all. Did I mention it's roach infested?

Sunny, I'm not sure how to spell his name, was polite and helped me get a room when I booked at the last minute. The place was okay, good enough to relax and lie down. The area was quiet, and I had no complaints. I appreciated my stay and wouldn't mind coming back.

The pillows were so hard that I barely slept. The place was badly run down, though I guess clean enough, and two windows faced an alley, which I didn't like. I almost couldn't find my room because the paint had worn off the room number. It was close to my event, but I probably wouldn't stay here again.
