Econo Lodge Byron - Warner Robins

Breakfast was the one letdown, so plan on eating somewhere else since there isn’t much offered. Otherwise, I’m really pleased, especially for the price. The room was clean and nice, with a spacious bathroom, comfortable bed, and pleasant decor. It’s right off the highway, and the front desk people were very nice. The rate was so low that I expected a smelly no-tell motel, but I was wrong. I’d recommend this hotel to my mom.

The rooms are basic, but clean, including the beds and bathroom, and they’re worth the money for an older motel that’s been upgraded. I had trouble with my Priceline reservation, and the front desk man was awesome about helping. He was kind and gave great customer service. I’d recommend staying here.

We couldn’t sleep because of the smoke, and my 3 year old was coughing like a smoker. His face was swollen from allergies, and I had to take the kids outside several times to breathe, including at 2am. It was 5am and we still hadn’t slept. The whole downstairs 100 section is a hotbox of cigarettes, with long term guests smoking nonstop. I checked in, put my bags on the floor, and immediately smelled it. I asked for another room because I had my 3 year old and 10 year old with me. The man refused, saying I’d dirtied the room. He knew I had kids and how bad the smoke was, and he didn’t care. He got his money, so I guess he’s fine. I’ll post this bad review everywhere every day until it’s fixed so other parents don’t go through this. Do not stay in any downstairs room. Run. Go.

I had to book at the last minute, and the room I was moved to wasn’t much better. The first bed had hair on it and its pillow. The pillowcases on the second bed were so dirty I brought them to the front desk to show the receptionist. He was rude, grabbed them before I could explain, and asked if I wanted a new sheet. I said I just wanted to show him how bad they were. He cut me off and insisted on giving me a refund. I said I didn’t want one, but he said it had gone to my card. When I asked how, since he hadn’t asked for my card, he said I hadn’t been charged yet. I’d switched rooms because a roach crawled out of the sink when I turned on the water, which was shooting upward. There was also a small roach crawling on the bedding. Since babies mean there’s a mother, it seemed like an infestation to me. I explained this at the front desk and was given a different room.
