I checked in after midnight on 6/28 and asked for a room with a bathtub. The man quoted $117, so I asked if there was something cheaper since I'd still leave at the 11 a.m. checkout. I got an $80 room. It was alright, though visibly dirty in spots, which I figured came with the location and price. After dropping my things on and in the nightstand, I pulled off the comforter and went to sleep. In the morning, after my shower and while packing to leave, I found a used condom stuck to my phone where I'd left it in the nightstand. When I told him, he blamed housekeeping and said good help was hard to find. He said there was nothing he could do, and didn't apologize. I guess that's all well and good, but $80 seems steep for a poorly kept highway hotel where you could get some unknown STD. I'll contact corporate and hope something comes of it, though I doubt it. Things like this seem to happen without recourse nowadays.

The room had everything I needed after a long day on my feet: a king bed, warm shower, plenty of towels, and it was clean. The price was good too. My fiancé and I were in New Edinburg, AR for a wedding over the weekend, and Warren was the closest city with somewhere to stay. The motel owner called that afternoon to ask when we'd arrive so he could have the room ready. We got there after midnight, and he was awake to greet us kindly. It was a non-smoking room, just right for our needs.

Fine for a one-night stop, but I wouldn't stay longer than a day. GPS couldn't find the hotel, so I had to call for better directions. Breakfast was pastries, so plan to get food somewhere else.

The bed was incredibly comfortable, the room was beautiful, the area felt quiet and safe, and they even have smoking rooms. But there was no breakfast, despite what my booking said, and they hadn't left cups for the little coffee maker. At 1 a.m. I was woken by a woman who'd apparently backed into our vehicle. While we exchanged information and she explained what happened, a man came out yelling, “What's going on?” We tried to explain, but he yelled at everyone to leave right away.

There was no breakfast, despite what was advertised, and the price with taxes wasn't what I was quoted. When we arrived, the man charged a lot more than the amount he'd given me, so my husband had to go out and get more money. The man was rude to him, then started tapping on the window and telling us to leave. I was upset because times are hard. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Be a man of your word.
