We stayed four nights, and the airport location was convenient. The building looked beautiful, spacious, and fairly high end when we arrived, with a bar and restaurant. The shuttle driver gave wonderful service, but the front desk was unattended many times when we went by for help. Our room layout wasn’t my favorite, and cleanliness needs attention. There was a lot of hair on the bathroom floor, counter, and towels. We were exhausted from a long day of travel, so it didn’t stop us staying, but a housekeeping supervisor doing their job should have caught it. A small seating area by the front desk was dirty with food on the floor when we arrived, and the same mess was still there when we left days later. Breakfast was expensive and mediocre at best. The gas station breakfast next door was much better. The bartender needed training: she didn’t know how to make the drinks we ordered, including ones on the menu. They were fairly priced and tasted good once she worked them out, but it took a while. There’s definitely room for improvement, and the property has potential. We’d stay again if they manage it better.

My girlfriend and I had a disappointing stay at Hilton Providence Airport Warwick, on the night of the shooting at Brown University. We were assigned a bottom-floor room with a window that locked, and I called the front desk because I was paranoid. He said the hotel was sold out but that he’d check with maintenance and someone would arrive in five minutes. Ten minutes later, I called back and was told nobody from maintenance was working that night. The room was poorly cleaned: previous guests’ shower items were left out, with bits of material on the main room floor. The layout was awkward too, with the toilet and sink in separate rooms, so there was probably bacteria on the door handle. The hotel has only two floors. The next morning, the sidewalks hadn’t been salted or shoveled, and the parking lot wasn’t paved. I blame Hilton corporation for putting profit ahead of service and safety, not the hotel workers. If the company can sell out for the night, why not hire enough people to run the hotel?

The outdoor patio is gorgeous, and the place looks inviting and well maintained. But the hotel basics were bad, and it was mediocre overall, only better than a roadside motel. Our youth sports team had booked blocks of rooms with two beds, but two families were assigned single-bed rooms and moved across the hotel. It took far too much arguing to get that sorted. The hallway smelled like a rabbit cage, with a vague sewage odor, as if a septic backup had not been fully cleaned from the carpets. At least there was no cigarette smell. The rooms looked hastily wired in ways that raised fire and electrical safety concerns: tangled wires, power strips plugged into other power strips, and aerial surge protectors used as extension cords. Photos attached. The coffee maker, despite all that, was too far from any outlet. They nickel and dime guests, too. There were no breakfast options outside the slow hotel restaurant, orange juice cost $2, the ATM fee was $5, and tan-colored coffee was $4.

I came by myself from near Chicago to Providence for a birthday getaway, traveling 16 hours, and stayed at Double Tree by Hilton Providence Airport Warwick from Thursday September 18th through Tuesday September 23rd, 2025. It was about 10 minutes from my partner, and the staff were all super friendly. There were really sweet adults with Disability working during the week, so I’d like to return if it isn’t too expensive. The place was beautiful, felt safe every night, and the area was pretty clean and quiet. People around there were friendly, and my room was pretty comfortable each night. I didn’t need two beds, but that option was cheaper and came with a really nice Courtyard view. It was pretty expensive, with high taxes, about $111 for five nights, and the room was $178 for five nights. If it’s affordable, I’ll come back from the Chicago Suburbs. The room TVs could use wall mounted pull-out brackets to plug in Roku.

The shuttle was already waiting at the airport, so we got to the hotel quickly. The driver was friendly, as was the front desk staff at check-in. We had a good stay in a really nice, clean room. We missed the bar because it closed at 10, but breakfast was fantastic. The chef made great omelettes, and the service was good too.
