Hyatt Place Washington DC/National Mall

We came to DC with family over the holidays and found the hotel clean, good value, and serving a hot breakfast. Our wedding anniversary happened to fall during the stay, and when we got back to the room Lexus had left us delicious cheesecake and champaign as a surprise. Can't wait to return!

Evelyn and the kitchen team made a huge difference for our daughter, who has celiac. Every morning they provided tasty gluten-free food with no cross-contamination. Evelyn went out of her way, even buying food at the grocery store and online, then preparing and storing it separately in a dedicated area. Our daughter was thrilled with her tray of food each day, and it made the trip feel incredible. We stayed five nights in a two-queen room with our two young children, both under 10. The room was spacious and clean, and the free breakfast offered plenty of variety. The staff were attentive and helpful throughout, including at the front desk, where they helped with logistics, checkout, and anything else we needed. The location was excellent, a few blocks from the National Mall and several Metro lines. We walked and rode scooters to lots of museums. This was one of my best family stays at a Hyatt. I can't recommend it enough, and we'll definitely be back.

We spent one night here last Saturday, 2/21, and paid almost $300, but there were bugs in the room. I saw one, and my family saw a couple more. I didn't find out about the others until checkout morning. I told the front desk agent, who said he'd alert the assistant manager and asked me to email him. I did, but haven't heard back. The hotel was far too nice and pricey to have bugs.

Most of the major attractions were easy to reach on foot from here, and there's a Metro stop nearby if you'd rather walk less. The location is great for the mall and museums. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast in the morning was decent. For what I paid, it was good value. I'd stay again. Thanks!
