There are couches in the hallways, and with just six rooms on each floor, three on each side, it feels like a quiet apartment building. You hardly hear neighbors coming and going because their doors are far from yours. Each room has a private-style entrance, even though it isn't fully private. The beds are comfortable, and some rooms have balconies. Rooms also have refrigerators, stoves, microwaves, pots, pans, a pitcher in the fridge, forks, spoons, cups, a dining table, and a pull-out couch in the living area. Some even have two rooms with an interior hallway. It's conveniently located in Georgetown, the prices are amazing, and the owners and staff are great people.

The staff were pleasant and very helpful, and the location is the main thing Joud Residence has going for it. But the unit was in terrible shape. The carpet had stains and tears, and the entrance floor was sticky. The photos show how dirty, torn, and broken the sheets and bed frame were. The bathroom was bad too, with stained shower curtains and hairs in the tub that weren't mine or my companion's. We left and found a hotel in Arlington, VA.

The staff were nice and everything was clean. It was a bare-bones place in a good location for an affordable price, though the older sitting-room furniture made the sleeper sofa uncomfortable for a night. The climate control was only just adequate.

I liked staying here more than most hotels I've tried. The beds are huge, and the place felt clean and friendly. The balcony was small but just big enough. Street parking is free, while using the Joud Residence garage costs extra.

It works well for a longer stay if you're on a tight budget, and the parking setup is useful if you drive into town. I first wanted to leave because the room was dirty, but they offered me another one on a different floor. That room was quite nice, clean, and comfortable. Nothing else especially stood out.
