The staff were friendly and efficient, and check-in and checkout went smoothly. The location works well for getting around Waterloo and Cedar Falls, whether you’re there for business or leisure. The breakfast was fresh, well stocked, and had a nice range of hot and cold choices, far better than the usual hit-or-miss continental spread. This Fairfield Inn & Suites feels like a reliable home base for the area. I travel often and have stayed at other Marriott properties, but this one stood out for its attention to detail and cleanliness. My room felt fresh, the linens were crisp, and even the busy common areas were well maintained. I’ll book here again next time I’m in town.

Andy, the maintenance guy, knew his stuff and had great customer service. The rest of the staff looked professional and well groomed, too. The place is in great condition and feels very welcoming. Best Fairfield Inn by Marriott I’ve stayed at in years. Great job, staff!!!!!

The room was clean and the staff were friendly. On my first night, an alarm issue on the top floor woke me around 5 in the morning. I called the front desk, and they quickly sent someone up to silence it and make sure everything was okay. Getting woken up by a fluke problem isn’t fun, but they dealt with it fast and were friendly about it. Credit to them.

Everything we needed was covered, from cleanliness and amenities to the location. Little comforts like extra condiments at the breakfast bar and lobby ice water that was always full made the stay nice. I especially want to thank Brooklyn. We were in town for a funeral that fell on my sister’s Birthday. I explained what was going on and asked whether she happened to have a Birthday candle behind the front desk for my Sister’s breakfast. They couldn’t find one, but Brooklyn and the staff put together a little Birthday care package with treats and a card instead. She didn’t have to do that, and the kindness meant more than I can say. During a really difficult time for our family, that small bag of goodies brought us a comforting bit of happiness and made the stay memorable. Thank you, Waterloo Fairfield!
