Rainbow Motel

I had a problem with my first room, but they moved me to a better one. The staff were super friendly and always ready to help. They even invited me to breakfast on Christmas morning, coffee and cinnamon buns. For the price, I’d recommend staying here. Everyone was easygoing and helpful.

For $45 booked online, this was decent for the area. The room felt more like a $40 room: clean-ish and a little worn, with a decent bed, working heater and AC, cable TV, a small table and chair, and a little tub in the small bathroom. The woman at the front desk was a sweetheart. From our conversation, she knew I was tired from working on the road. I slept through my alarms, and she left me alone well past checkout because she knew I needed the rest. I’ve stayed in $400-a-night hotels that practically kick the door in five minutes after checkout. If I’m short on money again and just need a place to clean up and sleep, I’d stay here.

The room wasn’t the nicest I’ve stayed in, but for the price it was fantastic, and surprisingly clean. The Wi-Fi was fast, too. I had to leave early for family reasons, and the staff were understanding and helpful. If you need a cheap place where people treat you decently and you feel okay using the shower, this is it.

A friend stayed here for a few months and got sick from the well water until he switched to bottled drinking water. I’ve heard many people get sent here after getting out of jail, so be careful. The place isn’t well maintained. I’d only stay one night if I couldn’t find somewhere else.
