I’ve already visited four or five times, and every stay has been a great experience. I plan to come back. The water park isn’t huge, but it has the main things you’d want: two tube slides, a body slide, a hot tub, a lazy river, and a kids’ area with a few slides for younger children and a big bucket that dumps about every 15 minutes. There’s enough seating, though I’d get a table early. The cheapest cabanas are $100, and could be worthwhile if you have little kids who need extra attention or want somewhere to lounge. The water was surprisingly warm, and the lifeguards were very attentive. I also liked that the wristband stays valid for the whole day after your stay, so you can still use the water park after checking out at 11:00. Late checkout is complimentary until noon, then costs $20 an hour. The staff are friendly, and the hotel enforces rules that make it feel safer and quieter than a lot of water parks I’ve been to. When you rent a room, you sign a code of conduct acknowledging that kids shouldn’t scream or run through the halls all night without consequences. I had a blast with my kids.

The staff and food at Didis were wonderful. I’m still thinking about the nachos after getting home, especially the brisket nachos. The room was great and the staff there were kind, too. The water park was fun, but the water temperature kept shifting between warm and cold and could have been much warmer. It didn’t seem well heated compared with Great Wolf Lodge. The park food was just fine and didn’t really appeal to me, so we got snacks and then ordered DoorDash to our room. I also found the water park staff could have been kinder. My son has extreme sensory issues, and because he’s 3, they required him to wear his wristband himself instead of letting us carry it. Getting it on was awful, and I feel they could have made an exception. The walls are thin to the hallway, as other reviews have mentioned. Once we noticed how easily sound carried, we kept our voices down because we could hear people from our room. The value for the quality made the trip worthwhile, but I’m not sure we’d return.

The bed pillows were the worst I’ve ever tried to sleep on. They felt like they were stuffed with little stuffed animals. The walls are thin, too, so you can easily hear normal conversation from the hallway or adjoining rooms. Still, I really enjoyed the hotel and water park. The rooms and pool were clean and nicely decorated, and the staff were amazing.

The event room was beautiful and just right for my daughter’s bridal shower at the Ingleside hotel. The food was very good, and the service was outstanding. Krystal and Denise deserve a shout-out for being warm and pleasant, paying attention to details, and being eager to accommodate our requests. I highly recommend the ingleside hotel for special events.

Our family had a terrible experience, and it was sickening. When we checked in, it took an extremely long time, while the white family ahead of us was checked in quickly. I noticed that every family of color I saw had been placed in the back of the hotel. Every time I saw an issue, it involved a Black family. A white security guard who claimed to be a cop told my son he was committing a crime by walking to the pool without a wristband, after he’d lost his in the pool area. We were hotel guests, not day-pass users. My son repeated the guard’s words to make sure he’d heard correctly, and the man said yes, it was a crime and he could arrest him. Later, when my kids, nieces, and nephews were heading to the pool, the same man accused us of having too many people in one room without checking how many rooms we had. He gave the kids a hard time and then followed them to our room. If you’re a family of color, any color, I recommend not spending your money here. They are extremely racist.
