Apple Tree Lane Bed & Breakfast

Be sure to walk the grounds and spend a little time by the river. We spotted a family of deer there early in the morning. The home is lovely and peaceful, and we enjoyed drinks by the porch fire table before it got chilly and we moved inside to sit near the fireplace and listen to music. Our room was clean, comfortable, beautifully updated, and still had the charm of the original house. We wish we'd booked two nights to see more of the area. We'll definitely return next year.

The shared spaces made it easy for our group to catch up, since we had all traveled from different places. We were in town for a wedding at Camp Elsewhere with two other couples, and the kind, welcoming hosts made us feel at home. The whole house was spotless and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, too, and a real highlight. We'd happily stay again.

Our room was attractive, the bed was comfortable, and the house was quiet and peaceful. The home itself sits in a pretty setting, and the online check-in for our two-night stay in the Crystal Cove Suite was easy. We were there in mid-October for a nearby wedding. There was another couple staying both nights, but we didn't see them or the owners, so we had plenty of privacy. We chose not to pay extra for breakfast, thinking the coffee and muffins mentioned would be enough. It was disappointing to find only a Keurig and two individually wrapped, gas-station-style muffins. There were four guests, but just two paper cups, no mugs, and powdered creamer. I expected a bit more. I also wish the owners had reached out personally to welcome us. The front porch could use a proper sweeping, too, as it had hundreds of dead ladybugs. The shower and tub setup felt very odd and a little dangerous. Even with a grab bar, getting in was difficult and slippery. I'd replace it with a walk-in shower. It was fine overall, but the details need attention.

Becky was a big help when we had to move our stay up by a day at short notice because of the weather. The house is beautiful and welcoming, and check-in was easy to do whenever suited us. It's right off the highway but still quiet, with a nice walking path alongside a stretch of river. We'll come back for future getaways.
