Imperial Lodge

I was wary after reading the reviews, since this is literally the only place to stay in Waverly, but it was fine. The building is dated, though clean. The A/C was cold, the shower was hot, and the sheets were clean. For the price, I’d give it four stars.

I checked the room carefully, like I always do, and still woke up to a bed bug crawling along the side of the bed. Honestly, I’d rather have slept in my truck.

Darrell at the office was friendly and easy to talk to, and he made us feel welcome. He was out cleaning rooms every morning and seemed to be keeping the place running well. Whenever we needed something, we got it without trouble. I was in town for a few days to visit family, my first time in Tennessee, and spent most of the days sightseeing. The room was quiet and the beds were comfortable, so I enjoyed the time I spent there. I’d recommend staying here if you come to town.

We were visiting Walls Art Park, just down the street, and the location worked out great. The price was unbeatable, the room was really clean, and the staff were very nice. We were happy with the stay and will definitely come back. The only problems were that the Wi-Fi password didn’t work for us and the TV speaker sounded like it was about to blow. Otherwise, it was a great room.
