Motel 6 Weatherford, TX

The location was convenient, close to restaurants and the freeway, and the room looked tidy at first. The staff were friendly at check-in, and I can see the value, but the cleanliness made me question choosing this place. The bathroom needed a deep clean, and the wall by the toilet roll holder needed repair. Dust and mold were on the bathroom and room vents. The panel around the AC had about an inch-wide gap at both the top and bottom, apparently left after a repair. There were stains on the walls that a magic eraser and bleach could probably handle. By the beds, I found skin, fingerprints, and what looked like food from previous guests. It didn’t seem to have been cleaned regularly.

Patel at the morning front desk was especially nice, and everyone else on staff was friendly too. My room was very clean and I had no issues. I’d recommend the hotel to anyone, five stars all the way.

The grounds were trashy, and the designated dog area had a huge amount of animal waste. It looked like nobody cleaned up. The location was good, but my dealings with the night staff were upsetting. The first evening, I couldn’t get through the front door because one side was secured and the other wasn’t. I asked the man who said his name was Saeed for help, and he made a big production of it while berating me. The next evening, he gave me a hard time for walking my dog in front of the building. I’ve never been treated this way at a hotel, and I won’t stay at a Motel 6 again.

We only stayed one night, and it wasn’t bad. The room was spacious and very clean, and the location was good. My husband and I hadn’t stayed at a Motel 6 in ages, so I’d forgotten it was a no-frills place. The reviews persuaded us to give it a try.
