Hilton Garden Inn Tampa-Wesley Chapel, FL

Our check-in with Alison was GR888T, and the room was nice. We asked when breakfast was served, and she said weekends were 7 to 10. She told us to enjoy it, so we thought it was free. At breakfast, a woman brought over a menu with prices. When I said we were just getting the free breakfast, she told us it cost $10. We've never stayed at a hotel that charged for breakfast, especially a high-end one. The room price should cover something like coffee, cereal, or fruit. We understand charging for made-to-order food, but this is ridiculous. You won't see us again. Also, please replace your flag. As a veteran, it hurt to see it tattered.

I've stayed here several times and will come back. The room was spotless, and the food was fresh and delicious. The whole staff was accommodating and professional, and seemed genuinely happy to help. The sales team was awesome and took care of everything.

The entry was nice, but the room was strange and looked like an office. The front desk wasn't accommodating, and I've never been denied late checkout as a Diamond member before. Who sets checkout at 11 on New Year's Day? We'll never go back.

A large party in the event room yelled and slammed doors until 2 a.m., and nobody did anything about it. On top of that, my family had to extend our stay by a night when our flights were delayed at Christmas 2025, and the hotel charged my card $680 twice. Mary, the Assistant GM, looked into it and said there was nothing she could do until the pending transaction cleared with the bank. Apparently a new staff member had double-charged us by mistake, fine, but then our key card was canceled when we came back to go to the room. At the front desk, DAISY was extremely rude and said our card had declined twice. None of this made sense, so I had to get Mary involved again. The worst stay ever. Never again!
