Homewood Suites by Hilton Cincinnati/West Chester

Breakfast was good, and the man working that area was friendly. The lobby and dining space were also clean and well kept. We had comfortable beds and pillows, and we'd stay here again. The location was handy, with stores and restaurants nearby. Getting in was easy because the digital key worked at both the exterior door and our room, so we skipped the desk. Room 123 looked clean but smelled noticeable when we first entered. In the kitchen area, dirty plates sat on top of the clean stack and there were dishes left in the dishwasher. There was no lotion in the bathroom, and although the ceiling bar was there, the usual curtain between the bed and couch was missing. I don't care for the sliding barn-style bathroom door. It's noisier than a regular door, especially when one person gets up before the others.

The location was convenient, close to lots of things, and the rooms were spacious and clean. Front desk staff were attentive and focused on the person in front of them rather than the phone. Breakfast was a typical hotel spread, with a make-your-own sandwich bar.

The hotel was clean, and the non-management staff were great. Management and front desk staff, though, were rude and unprofessional. During my stay, management changed my room price three times, twice before checkout and once afterward. After I left, a representative called demanding more money. Then they canceled my reservation entirely, making it look as if I had never stayed, so I got no loyalty points. I chose this location over a competitor because its online reviews were slightly better, and I regret that choice. I want my original reservation reinstated, the right loyalty points credited, and the overcharge resolved immediately.

In Westchester, Ohio, this is a nice hotel with nice rooms. I liked having the desk beside the TV, so I could work while watching sports. The king beds were large and comfortable, and the HVAC worked marvelously. I'd definitely stay here again.
