I never want to leave. The whole place has a style, comfort, service, amenities, bars and restaurants, and an atmosphere that are hard to explain until you’ve experienced them. In my opinion, it’s one of the best hotels in the country, whatever the price. The quality stays consistent across everyone, from valet and security to the front desk, housekeeping, and waiters. Ness, the Guest Experience Manager, is a delight. He’s incredibly accommodating and genuinely cares about how your stay goes. His communication even before you arrive is on another level. Barbara, the Food & Beverage Manager, is so lovely that it’s hard to pass her without stopping for a chat, even if you’re not eating there. When you do want a table, she pays excellent attention to what you might need.

We only ended up here because The Chateau was full during the Grammys, and what a lucky break. The pool was perfect and valet was effortless. Breakfast was even better than the excellent cocktails, and it runs until 11. The place is stylish without feeling impersonal, and does a lovely job of blending renovation with preservation. We’ll be back as soon as we can.

I hadn’t stayed here in a couple of years, and this visit is my favorite so far. They upgraded me to a suite with a distant view of DTLA. A lot of the same staff from way back are still here, and they were so gracious when they saw me and my crew.

We celebrated our 30th anniversary here, and it was a fun, comfortable stay. I loved the deco details, and the hotel is well placed for getting around LA. Breakfast on the pool patio came with a great city view. The restaurant has live music, a bit of an old club feel, good drinks, and a nice menu. Bring something nice to wear.

Thank you to everyone who made our Thanksgiving stay with family so lovely. The building has real charm, but it’s the people who make Sunset Tower remarkable. Barbara, Angel, and Quinton in the restaurant were exceptional, and Ness at the front desk made sure everything was just right. It’s always been one of my favorite hotels.
