Grandview Gardens

I wanted somewhere quiet and walkable to the WPB convention center for a conference, without paying too much, and this fit perfectly. The room and bed were very comfortable, with lots of small touches to make the stay easier. It’s not fancy, just really nice, and the main house is neat, with plenty of snacks and supplies for making your own breakfast. I didn’t use the pool, but it was much nicer than I expected. I prefer making my own eggs, toast, and fruit, which were free, to paying $35 for a yucky business hotel breakfast. A great, low-fuss stay, better than I’d expected.

I’d happily return to Grandview. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating at check-in and checkout, and the location gave me a calm, picturesque setting in a historic district just minutes from downtown dining and entertainment. The property is beautiful, relaxing, and thoughtfully designed without being over the top. My gorgeous room had french doors opening onto the pool, plus lovely tile, a bathroom, bed, and patio that made it easy to unwind. The pool and patio felt like a private resort. The water seemed very clean, and I don’t think it was chlorinated. Since it was December, I only dipped in once, but was glad it was kept slightly heated. The main house was beautiful too. I didn’t spend long there, though I could see myself working there on a future visit. This was my first Palm Beach visit, and I had an amazing time. I wish I could give it more stars.

The place has sweet old Florida vibes, and Rebecca, the host, was so kind and helpful. Rooms were clean and there was a complimentary coffee bar. It’s tucked off the beaten path, about 10 minutes from The Breakers. If you like the Westwinds in Key West, you’ll love this spot. I’m planning a Palm Beach trip with my mom and sister-in-law, and we’ll definitely stay here.

Our room was spacious, the pool was warm, and parking was easy. The kitchen was well stocked with good coffee, Real cream, breakfast options including good yoghurt, and snacks. It’s an easy walk to Table 26, the Hive, and the Norton museum of Art. A delightful little place in historic residential West Palm Beach, much nicer than a generic brand. It would work well for a weekend away or a longer stay. Give it a try, you’ll love it.
