Motel 6 Pensacola, FL - NAS

I had a good Saturday night stay, but leaving was another story. They seemed eager to rush me out, and a housekeeper went into my room before I had checked out. She also let her dog pee on a car parked beside mine. The housekeeping needs more attention and maintenance. Sheets and towels should be cleaner, and the towels they gave me were stained like rags. I won't be back. There were roaches, mold and dog hair left from a previous guest. I had to clean before sleeping, and my room wasn't clean before me last time either, on 2/1/26. Housekeeping was rude today, too.

The office staff were very nice and tried to help, and the location is convenient, with a dollar store, fast food places and liquor stores across the street. The pool was greenish and cloudy and seemed to be about a foot short of water, so we couldn't use it. Our room smelled of mold coming from the bathroom wall. One of the housekeeping women was kind of grouchy, though the older Black gentleman on that staff was nice. It was okay overall, but I wouldn't book again.

Check-in was easy, the motel layout worked well, and I liked that pets were allowed without an extra fee. Towels and amenities were supplied, the water ran and the toilet worked, and the room doors had good security. The TV and channel selection were good, the beds looked clean and comfortable, and the fridge was clean and working. There were several gaps where the floor slats were separating. Behind the bathroom door I found debris and a couple of dead bugs. The inside of the AC unit was very dusty and dirty, with buildup that could easily be cleaned, so be careful if you have breathing problems. There was also an unused cigarette and dirt by the nightstand. Some guests had large, noisy dogs. The room looked clean overall, but clearly could have been cleaned more thoroughly. I paid for two nights but left early in the evening after one. I couldn't get a refund because I had stayed past checkout time that day. For what it costs, it wasn't worth it. It's a Motel 6, and you know the reputation.

The location isn't fancy, but the place was clean and the staff were very nice. Everything worked, and the water pressure and temperature were good through my shower. I slept pretty well, and it was conveniently close to the Navel air station I was visiting. I don't have an EV, but noticed two charging spots and saw someone using one with their Tesla.
