I love visiting Wendover, but this stay was awful and cost over $100. The halls smelled more like pot than the pot store. The room was just okay, the water pressure was terrible, and the shower door wouldn't close all the way. I could kind of see the pool from the “pool view” room if I pressed my head to the window and looked far to the right. Only one elevator worked, with three out of order. I should have booked with one of the other three competitors. Don't waste your money on a room here.

The front desk staff were kind and genuinely tried to help, but that was the only positive part of a very frustrating experience. I had an emergency and didn't stay the night, so I tried to get a refund for a no-show. The process was unnecessarily difficult and poorly handled, and I lost money I shouldn't have. It was almost impossible to reach the manager, Elida. When I finally did, she was very unprofessional and communicated poorly, with little basic customer service. I left disappointed and stressed. Hotels should handle serious situations professionally. I'd never consider staying here again and would tell others to look elsewhere.

The café food was really good, the staff were kind, and the room was clean. Still, this was the worst hotel stay I've ever had, and I'll never return. Only one elevator served the whole tower. The blackout curtain hook at the center edge had come undone, letting a security light shine into my room all night. There was peeling wallpaper in the hallway. I had told them when booking that I was with the scuba group and was supposed to get a late checkout. When I returned to my room, I was locked out. My room was at the far end of the Tower, so getting back to registration for a new key meant a hell of a lot of walking. I probably wouldn't have stayed here again anyway.

We stayed in the tower, and the room seemed like it had never been renovated. The pillows and mattress looked like they might be the originals from when it opened. There was peeling paint on the walls and stains on the carpet, and the shower door wouldn't shut, leaving water all over the floor. Both beds had big burn holes, likely from cigarettes, in the bedspreads. The sink wouldn't drain, so we had to wash our hands quickly. There was no refrigerator. The room got hot, but the cooler barely helped. We tried opening a window, only to find there was no screen.

I won't stay at this hotel again. The rooms didn't impress me, though cleanliness was okay. One of the rooms I booked had no working heat. I reported it to maintenance, but no one came to fix it, even after I went to the front desk to complain. When I asked to speak with a manager, they agreed to discount the affected room by 20%. The lack of working elevators was also really annoying: only one was running, inconveniencing guests and staff. The other elevator was being replaced, so that part wasn't their fault.
