On Monday, November 10, 2025, we were heading home to Texas when a fall snowstorm made the roads hazardous. We had a reservation at the Holiday Inn in Charleston, 100 miles away, so we called the Holiday Inn Express in Weston, West Virginia. Sky Blue Waters answered, booked us a room, canceled the Charleston reservation, and got our money back. She called again to confirm everything. The room was nice, and the heat and breakfast were good. I can’t say enough good things about Sky or the hotel.

Even though the hotel was sold out, our room was so quiet we couldn’t hear anything. It was very clean, and the staff were friendly. My one small gripe is the timer on the outside lights. They weren’t on when we arrived, so we nearly missed the hotel and had trouble parking. They came on after 7pm, once we were in our room.

I came from PA to see the TALA, and this was one of my best hotel stays. I get nervous about overbooking, but they called to check when I’d arrive and make sure I’d have my room. The rooms were clean, staff were friendly, and breakfast was better than at most hotels I’ve tried. I’ll stay here again.

We had a family emergency and needed to leave early, and the hotel graciously accommodated us. We really appreciated that. The room was spotless, the beds comfortable, breakfast delicious, and the staff very friendly. It’s the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed in, and the price felt well worth it. A fresh cookie and lemonade or tea at the entrance was a nice welcome. I’d definitely recommend the place.
