Red Roof Inn North Little Rock

At check-in, I was told the hotel had no two-queen non-smoking rooms because they were remodeling, even though queen rooms were still shown on the website. The rooms looked nothing like the photos, there were only two bath towels for four adults, and the front desk staff refused to give us more. The bathroom walls had toothpaste on them, and our blankets had cigarette holes. The whole hotel smelled of smoke, with it hanging in the hallways, and the smoke detectors in our room had been removed, with wires left hanging. People were up all night yelling, and there were drug users in the parking lot. To me, this place is a dump and feels like a short-term rental for drug users. Don’t stay here. I’m sure Red Roof will send the usual reply about passing my concerns along, but I doubt anything will happen. Other reviews describe the same issues.

I really like Red Roof Inn, and this was acceptable for the excellent price. I checked in around 7pm Saturday, and the person at the desk was really nice. The TV in my room didn’t work, so he moved me right away to the room next door. The housekeeper was nice too, but we couldn’t understand each other, and I didn’t get fresh towels.

There wasn’t any AC in the lobby, and I found the online pictures misleading. The rooms were horrible, with dust on the walls, chipped paint, and blood on the bathroom wall. The shower head leaked where it attached, and the hallway floors were wet from leaking toilets. It took all day to get towels, and the pool was disgusting. There were homeless people living out back, and people asked for money and cigarettes when I went outside. I didn’t feel safe at all. They’d be better off closing the place.

I won’t stay here again, and I don’t recommend it. I had asked for a non-smoking room, but mine smelled like someone had just smoked in it. People hung around outside the rooms all night, and the room was dirty with an unknown stain on the blankets. I’d accidentally booked more nights than I needed for an 11-day trip, so after three days I asked for a refund for the rest. The man on the phone said I’d get it at checkout. At checkout, the woman at the desk said she’d refunded $580 to my debit card. After three days with no money back, I called and was told to wait 5-10 business days. When that time passed and the refund still wasn’t there, I called again and asked for the manager. The man first said he was maintenance, then eventually admitted he was the manager. He said I must be desperate for money to want a refund. Red Roof Inn corporate also told me to wait 7-10 business days, but the tenth business day came and went without the money. They charged the full $709 stay, overdrawing my account. That was most of my savings, and friends and family have been helping me buy food and essentials. I’m 19 and was moving into my first apartment with just $20 left at that point. The service was horrible, and I feel like they lied and overcharged me. The rooms are bad.
