Home2 Suites by Hilton Wichita Northeast

We paid $150, and our daughter paid over $200, but we had to put up with noise late into the night. Our daughter’s family and her friend’s family were in rooms on the second floor for our granddaughter’s gymnastics competition. She said there was a noisy kids’ birthday party across the hall, and she heard more noise from the third floor. My wife and I heard what sounded like kids jumping, laughing, yelling, and screaming upstairs, plus more loud kids and African-sounding drum music in the next room. We’re both hard of hearing, which gives you an idea of how loud it was. I gave it until 10 p.m., then went to check the hall and complain at the front desk around 10:10. The young woman said she’d walked the halls and everything was quiet. After she spoke to our neighbors, things did quiet down. The hotel itself was very nice, with large rooms and high ceilings on the ground floor, though I’m not a big fan of those ceilings. The bed was uncomfortable, and my wife found the pillows far too soft. We overslept in the morning and were late to our granddaughter’s competition, so we missed showers, breakfast, and even coffee. I won’t recommend or stay here again.

Friendly staff and a decent hotel, but I don’t like that the gym closes at 10 p.m. I also wish the weekend breakfast had the weekday sandwich bar. The ads promote it without saying it’s only available Monday through Friday.

At Home2 Suites by Hilton Wichita Northeast, I left my AirPods in the room when I went outside. When I came back, the case was empty. I told the staff right away, but they just wrote it on a sticky note and said, “We will find it.” There was no urgency or follow-up. After checkout, the hotel said they hadn’t found anything. Yet Find My iPhone showed one AirPod still at the hotel and the other 12 miles away in a residential area I’ve never visited. I asked management to take responsibility, but all they offered was one free night, which felt insulting given what happened. I was extremely uncomfortable and disappointed. It raises serious questions for me about security, trust, and staff integrity at this location. Once something goes missing, it seems nobody cares enough to help. I’ll never recommend this hotel, and if you stay, keep a close eye on your belongings.

Wonderful stay. The room was clean, the beds super comfy, and breakfast had a huge selection. Staff and bartenders were friendly. Definitely coming back.
