Hotel at Old Town

We were in town for KMEA and really enjoyed the live jazz. The location was handy, close to everything we needed, and our room was clean and comfortable. Having a full-size fridge and microwave was a welcome surprise. The property is beautiful, and I wish we could've stayed longer.

I loved the old movie feeling, along with the historical museum pieces on display. There are comfortable conversation areas with beautiful furniture and a lovely atmosphere, plus a piano by the bar in the ritzy lobby. The hotel is a great distance from downtown, and there are lots of places to walk or bike to. That's just my opinion, though. My mother had a procedure at Via Christi St. Francis, and since we live several hours away, a long drive after getting ready would've been hard on her. The hospital recommended this hotel because patients and family members can get a discounted rate. At the last minute they found us a double bed room for one night, and we were so grateful for how comfortable it was. Even at full price, I think it's worth it. Everything inside had the conveniences of home. The staff were helpful, attentive, informative, and easy to talk to. They really went above and beyond. The atmosphere inside and outside is great. If I could live here, I would.

There are so many places to eat nearby that the lack of a restaurant at Hotel at Old Town wasn't a problem. I had a great view from my fully equipped room, which was perfectly clean and looked brand new. The hotel follows an extended-stay style, with plenty of accommodations. I booked on a business trip at short notice, and the hotel's website made the reservation quick and easy. Parking and check-in went smoothly, and I was greeted right away and checked in within minutes. The lobby is nicely arranged, and there was pleasant jazz there in the evening. In the morning, there's a good breakfast buffet option. I was really impressed and will stay here again when I'm in Wichita. Thanks, Hotel at Old Town, for a great visit!

We're claiming this as our home away from home when we come to town to see family. We'll share it with others, but we're definitely coming back. The kitchenette will be handy next time, though we didn't use it this stay. Beds were comfy, the room was clean and well lit, and the shades covered the whole window without gaps letting light in. The building's history comes through in the decor, and it has a fun, funky feel. Most of all, the staff were great. Molly was a phenomenal receptionist, bartender, and Wichita representative.
