Marriott Wichita

The room itself was alright, but it was disappointing to find only two towels when we'd booked for three. The pillows had no support, even doubled up. We also left a phone charger behind and came back the next day, but there didn't seem to be a standard lost and found, so we left empty-handed. I expected more from Marriott and won't return. The extra costs felt shocking and unreasonable for a Marriott. Coffee in the lobby was $3 or more, breakfast was $16 per person, and parking was another $16 a night for a small, unsecured lot behind the hotel. Breakfast had scrambled eggs from a bag, sausage, bacon, potatoes, waffles, yogurt, fruit, bagels, and some cereal. The buffet used paper plates, plastic utensils, and small paper juice cups. These charges may be optional, but I think they should be included, as they are at competitors like Holiday Inn, Sleep Inn, and Best Western. Those places offer breakfast and don't charge for coffee or parking. For the price of one night's stay, I expected the breakfast and lobby coffee to be complimentary.

I've eaten at this restaurant inside the Wichita Marriott many times during conferences, and I've ordered food to go because it's so good. My chicken quesadilla was loaded with goodies. The woman at the bar was so sweet and brought us water while we waited for our order. Everyone was kind and welcoming, and it was a great experience for a hotel restaurant. I definitely recommend it, 10/10.

Jessica was so helpful with the catering and setup on the day of our rehearsal dinner. We reserved a banquet room, the food was delicious, and the staff treated us kindly. Even the hotel owner stopped by to say hello and check that everything was okay. The hotel has been recently renovated, and it's a very nice place for a rehearsal dinner. I'd recommend The Wichita Marriott for an event.

We had a great family stay. The place was clean, the staff friendly, and the pool was nice. We accidentally left a new shirt we'd just bought in the room. They offered to ship it to us through FedEx, but we were about to leave town and managed to go back and pick it up. Everything about the stay was great.
