Holiday Inn Express & Suites-Cincinnati South - Wilder by IHG

We switched here from another hotel because its pool was down, and the whole trip was for the kids to swim. They had a great time, and the pool was excellent. From check-in to check-out, everything went well. The place was clean and well stocked, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. A special shout-out to Kegan, the night front desk clerk. My phone wouldn’t connect to the internet, and I had my two grandkids with me. She came to my room and helped get it connected. Such a sweet and helpful girl. It was a great experience all around.

The hotel was clean and well kept, and we felt welcome when we saw the neat setup in the lobby. It was a cute touch, and I appreciated the effort, especially since we were in town for the falling in reverse and Hollywood undead concert. Breakfast could have been fresher, though. It didn’t meet the standard I’ve had at other Holiday Inns.

I liked being able to choose my floor when I checked in. The room and bathroom were clean, and the room had useful details: nice countertops, a desk for working on my laptop, a place for luggage, and a king bed with two firm and two soft pillows. The soap and lotion dispensers, including in the shower, were handy, and I liked the backlit lighting behind the bed and cabinet. The only thing I noticed was a fairly dirty inside window, though it wasn’t a big deal. The hotel is away from the hustle and bustle but still just 10 minutes from dining and stores. There’s ample parking, and it wasn’t busy during my stay, so I never had to wait for an elevator. I recommend staying here.

Two of the three treadmills weren’t working, which is why I’m giving three stars. After driving 8 hours, we needed them. We stopped going to Hampton Inn in Wilder because they couldn’t get their exercise room working after 6 months. We have family in the area and have been coming up more often due to illnesses.
