Extended Stay America Select Suites - Wildwood - The Villages

We spent October 2025 here, and the room was clean and the hotel quiet, set back from the road. There’s a bit of land behind it for nice dog walks, and the laundry room was convenient. Being able to stay with my dog and cat was a big plus. Since the hotel was built in July 2025 and was newer, we could stay here despite my mold illness, which we can’t tolerate in most hotels. The staff were friendly and very understanding when my adult son with special needs could be loud. The housekeepers were especially sweet and went above and beyond to help us in any way. I’d definitely recommend it. Thanks Extended stay! ❤️

Every room has a kitchen, and the staff were absolutely amazing. We wanted somewhere clean and comfortable at a reasonable price while our parents were having surgery, and this exceeded our expectations. This brand-new extended-stay hotel in The Villages (Wildwood) is conveniently close to everything, including UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital & Orlando Health Medical Group.

My parents and I have been staying at the Wildwood The Villages location for a long time while we look for a house. It’s a convenient spot, the room is clean, and the staff are very friendly. We’re especially grateful to GM Laurent, who has helped us through everything and made this feel like a temporary home away from home. We’d stayed here a couple of times before, and Laurent remembered us and understood what we were going through. He’s been very, very friendly and helpful, always saying to let him know if we need anything. He greets us with good mornings and wishes us a nice day, and he helps his staff with laundry, check-ins and check-outs, cleaning, and more. Of all the hotels we’ve stayed at in our lives, he’s the greatest GM ever. We’ll always choose this place for those reasons, especially because of him. We highly, highly recommend it.

My family of four, including two young children, checked in around 10 PM on January 17, 2025. We ended up leaving around 11 PM, exhausted and having to drive late at night to find somewhere else. We did not stay the night, and none of the three rooms had a bed we could safely use because of repeated sanitation problems. The first room had a dead cockroach on its back right by the entrance, so we asked to switch. The second was dusty. We tried to settle in, but then I heard a distinct patter-patter and saw a live cockroach on the desk before it ran off. In the third room, which staff supposedly inspected for us after we insisted on a clean one, there were crumbs and dark food stains everywhere. I could tell the previous guest had eaten Cheetos and Skittles. When I pulled back the sheets, there was a collection of hair, including curly body hair. It turned my stomach. Days later, Agoda told me the hotel had decided on a $25 partial refund from the $109 I paid. That’s an insult. How can they keep 75% of the payment when they didn’t provide basic sanitary conditions? It’s like someone totaling your car and offering to cover only one door because of their “internal policy.” The dead and live roaches, other people’s hair and crumbs, the late-night drive to find another place, and the hotel’s take-it-or-leave-it attitude were the reality of this stay. If you want to break up with a partner, cut ties with a friend, or spite a business partner, bring them here. This place is a guaranteed disaster.
