The Beach House

We came in mid-April, so the pool was closed and there weren’t crowds, but the place still lived up to its good reviews. It can be hard to find a clean motel these days, and this one was clean and as promised. I was there with a photo workshop group that booked several rooms. My suite was spacious, modern, and spotless, and check-in was about as simple as it gets. Scot was wonderful. This was my first stay at The Beach House, and I’d choose it again.

The only real hassle was the narrow parking. Our SUV filled its space, and we had to ask for more toilet paper and paper towels because they hadn’t been replenished after cleaning. They brought more as soon as we asked, so it wasn’t a big deal. Otherwise, we loved the stay and plan to return. The remodeled room was beautiful, and having a kitchen was great for making meals. Staff were attentive and nice, the pool was heated, and the location is fabulous, right across from the boardwalk. Great value for the price.

The room had clearly been redone recently and was lovely, with comfortable beds. You’re on the beach in less than a minute, and we could see the ocean from our room, though it was across a street, parking lot, and beach, and the water was far out at low tide. It was quiet during our February visit. Since it was winter and we didn’t seem to have neighbors, I can’t say what noise from other guests or the street is usually like. I’d stay here again.

My wife was happier with this hotel choice than with any of my others, so we’ll be back regularly. We both loved our stay at The Beach House in Wildwood, NJ. The recently renovated rooms were very clean and modern, and the mini kitchen was immaculate with brand new appliances. It’s a great quality option and good value for a winter visit to Wildwood or Cape May.
