Pilgrim's Pride Motel

We booked a family room, and it was spacious, spotless, and modern. The ad said the motel had been completely renovated, and that was true inside and out. Staff were hands-on and very accommodating. It exceeded what I expected, and I’d highly recommend it and stay again.

We loved the peaceful, convenient feel of the place, and the owner’s family keeps the property very clean and well maintained. It felt like a mini apartment, with everything we needed to cook in the room and a good-sized table for meals. We also grilled by the pool. There were lots of outdoor games for kids, including a huge Connect Four and cornhole. The owners and staff made us feel welcome as soon as I arrived with my mother and nine-year-old son. Jimmy was especially nice and helped us make the most of the stay, and John John was helpful too. He showed us a great place on the beach to watch the fireworks. We liked it enough to add another night. The beach is three blocks away, and the bay is two blocks away, with beautiful sunsets. Prices are very reasonable, and there are plenty of things nearby. I liked being next to the Ravioli house, with Poppi's just a few blocks away. Those are two of the best Italian restaurants around wildwood. I can’t wait to return, and for my Wildwood vacation I don’t plan to stay anywhere else.

Our family had a great time from Friday to Monday. The place was very clean and within walking distance of the beach. Staff were polite and welcoming. Highly recommend!

The manager or owner was extremely rude to my 15-year-old son. He sat on the rail to take a picture, which wasn’t smart, but when she told him to get down, he did right away and apologized. She replied, “common sense...Jesus Christ.” That was completely uncalled for. An elderly man also kept telling us how to open the pool gate, almost angrily. The cleanliness was disappointing. The wall behind the sink was dirty, under the beds looked unvacuumed for ages, and there was a dirty paper towel with who knows what in the nightstand drawer. The beds weren’t too bad, but weren’t comfortable, and the pillows were flat. The extra blankets were rough and uncomfortable, like something from jail. The pullout sofa bed wouldn’t open. The small pool had floats that were all deflated; after I pumped them up myself, I found holes in every one. At least my kids had the pool to themselves, and there were plenty of towels and washcloths, even if they were rough and small. We wouldn’t stay here again.
