RusMar Motel

The rooms were tiny and extremely dirty, and the beds had dirt and mold. We paid around $160 for one night, plus a $10 parking charge and $35 pet fee. I've been visiting Wildwood for 20 years and have never been charged for parking at a motel or hotel. You could get a much better stay for the same price or less. This place is terrible, and I regret staying. Never stay here.

Google doesn't let you give zero stars, unfortunately. Our room was supposed to be ready for a 3 pm check-in, but when we arrived at 4:30, they handed us keys to a disgusting room that had been trashed with alcohol, an unmade bed, and towels thrown around. When we raised the issue, housekeeping had already left, so they moved us to a downstairs room beside a dumpster. That one was dirty too, with a moldy coffee pot and sticky utilities. It was also unlocked when we got there. The bed looked dirty when we did our usual bedbug check. This isn't an acceptable place to stay, even if it's close to the beach. They did nothing to address our concerns except say, “Sorry, we can't do anything.” Do NOT stay here.

We came to see about checking in early and were told the room was being cleaned and to return between 2:30 and 3. At 3, we were told the previous guest hadn't checked out and to come back later. We returned at 6, and the room was ready, but then we had to wait for a key. It smelled musty inside, and the bathroom ceiling was covered in mold. I don't recommend it, especially for anyone with allergies or asthma.

I called ahead to ask about checking in early. I said around 6 or 7 am, and she said that would be okay. But when I arrived around 8, I was told I couldn't check in until 3 and that no hotel allows early check-in. I called back around 11, and she said no rooms were available for early check-in. Then, after I left a bad review, one suddenly became available. The room was dusty, with mouse droppings on the bed, by the microwave, and on the dresser. I asked to check out of this dump and wanted a full refund, but they didn't want to give me one.
