Sand Box Motel

The pool and hot tub area are a big draw, with lots of chairs and games to keep everyone busy. We come to the sandbox motel several times a year for weekend getaways with my husband and our dogs, and they even provide trays and bowls for the dogs along with a dog bath station. The staff make the place feel like a home away from home, and Lorraine at the front desk was especially accommodating. It’s the cleanest motel I’ve stayed at in wildwood. I absolutely love it here and won’t stay anywhere else when I visit. Book it, you’ll have a wonderful time with your furry friends.

We had a kitchenette that worked perfectly, and the room was so clean there wasn’t any old smoky smell at all. I’d expected that might be an issue in an older motel that allows pets, but it wasn’t. Our dog got a food bowl, a water bowl, and a treat, and there was fresh water outside plus a tub for baths. Loraine and Shiv were especially friendly and made us feel welcome. We also got free bike rentals and access to the grills, which were so clean I wondered if I was the first person to use one. The pool had games for kids. It’s those little touches that bring people back. And I can’t forget the bed goose towel!

We visited in the off season and ran into a problem with our room. Once we showed the staff what was happening, they moved us to another room right away. They were very professional and helpful. The rooms also seem to have been renovated fairly recently. Great service.

We came from Pennsylvania with our dog Rosie and were happy to be able to bring her along. The owners were really nice, and the location was great. The rooms are basic, but very clean. If you want an affordable, no-frills place, this is a good fit. Thanks.
