Mango Motel

I booked through the Mango Motel website, but the process never appeared to finish. There was no confirmation email or indication on the webpage that the reservation had gone through, so I assumed the site was down and booked another hotel in Wildwood. On the day of my trip, Mango Motel called because I hadn’t checked in. I explained what happened and that I didn’t know I had a reservation. They still charged my card $567.97 for a room I never used. I asked them to reverse the charge, but they refused and showed no concern for customer satisfaction. Charging someone without confirmation and then declining to resolve it is unacceptable and unethical. I strongly encourage people to avoid this establishment.

We asked to move after finding ants, spider webs, sand in every corner, mold on the bathroom floor, hair all over the tub, black toilet rims, and a remote covered in food or candy. My daughter's feet were black after just a minute walking around. The next room was just as filthy. In its bathroom, we saw pubic hair in the tub. The owner said, "no it's just a crack," then touched it and had pubic hair on his fingers. He agreed to cancel with a refund through Expedia, so we checked out, but when we contacted Expedia, the owners denied it and refused the refund. The pictures are very deceitful. This business was foul, and they also own BelAir, which is very run down. They were rude and scammers. I hope this saves someone from the same disappointment or losing hard-earned money.

The one good thing was being close to our favorite restaurant. We were there 11/29/2025, and will never return. We booked a king room but were first put in a twin queen room with dirty, damaged walls and a bathroom window that wouldn't close all the way. The king bedroom they moved us to had no heat at all. Then they moved us to another room described as twin queen, but the beds weren't queen size. Its old louvre windows barely closed, the door moldings were damaged and let in light and air, and the doorknob looked like it had been hit with a hammer. They were renovating last May, but it doesn't look like it. What a dump. Zero stars.

There was no heat in the room, and the bed didn't even have a comforter. It was freezing outside and inside, in the middle of winter. We asked for our money back, but she refused. I wouldn't recommend it.
