Pink Champagne Boutique Motel

The room had what we needed to get by, and the location is great. But in Room 301, the door lock failed and we were trapped inside for about an hour. We called the hotel for help and nobody answered or came. We were up until 1 am trying to unlock the door and came close to calling 911. It left us scared that in a real emergency we’d have to fight to get out. In the morning, no management was around to speak with. The panic attack and the money just weren’t worth it.

The owner was pleasant when we checked in and said to let him know if we needed anything. He’d also called beforehand to confirm the booking and ask when we’d arrive. We booked at the last minute on a cold, rainy night, and the room was very clean and looked newly refurbished. It had a two-burner stove, fridge, microwave, kitchen sink, large flat-screen TV, several comfortable extra blankets, and a charming little bathroom. My daughter said it was her favorite hotel she’s stayed in. If it was this good on a blustery February day, I can only imagine what it’s like in midsummer.

Our vacation was completely ruined when we found our car gone the morning we were heading home. My husband had parked it against a hotel wall, but another car was in our spot. After walking around the lot, we realized that space actually belonged to a different hotel. The car had been towed, and I had to pay a $350 fine in cash. The ATM downstairs didn’t work, so I walked three blocks to a Wawa for cash. A taxi to pick up the car cost another $40. Our car had the hotel’s parking tag. I can’t understand why they didn’t contact us instead of having it towed. It felt heartless. Nobody’s money grows on trees. If the towing company happens to be owned by you, that might explain it, or maybe you’re getting a kickback. Either way, be careful where you park. I called the hotel, but they didn’t get back to me. That’s fine. So, the hotel fee for two days was about 1000$ this time. At 2am somebody had a party, and it was so easy to wake up.

The one good thing was having a stove in the room, though it and the microwave were dirty. Daniel was nice, but the room was full of dust: the TV, remotes, dresser, table, everything. The ceiling fan was the worst. If you have a dust allergy, don’t book here. The small bathroom and kitchen area were dirty too, and it seems there’s no housekeeping staff. The people at the desk are also the ones cleaning the rooms. The mattresses and pullout couch were uncomfortable, and they don’t use fitted sheets. The motel also needs a quiet-down rule. Kids ran back and forth and up and down the stairs so much that the room shook like an earthquake. If they cleaned thoroughly and got better mattresses, this place could be great.
