Comfort Inn Near Grand Canyon

I spent two weeks training in the area for high attitude intensity hiking, and the rooms were well worth the money. I usually don't comment on air quality, since I smoke outdoors, but these rooms smelled especially pleasant. The beds had no odor, and I really liked the pillows. John welcomed me and was there when I left. The staff didn't interfere with my sometimes out of hand behavior. Morning food service was tasty and on time, with no issues. God Bless Williams, and this hotel.

We were impressed enough that we'll go out of our way to stay here again. Even though it was a very slow season near the Grand Canyon, the service was excellent: friendly staff, a great room, and a spectacular breakfast. The scrambled eggs may have been the best I've ever had at a hotel, and the woman working the breakfast area was incredibly sweet. My only gripe is with the TVs, which seems to be an issue at nearly all Choice Hotels. They make it almost impossible to connect another device like a computer or Roku. I understand the bandwidth concern and added expense, but the corporation needs to figure it out. For service and quality during such a quiet time of year, this place really impressed me.

It's only about 45 minutes from the Grand Canyon, which is handy for visitors. We had a small toilet issue, but an employee came and adjusted the flush handle so it would work. The breakfast space is compact and the furniture was poorly arranged, with pretty limited food choices. There are two floors and no elevator, so I wouldn't recommend it if you have large suitcases. A satisfactory stay overall.

We found another nice, quiet place, with plenty of parking and a clean, spacious room. The front desk staff were amazing. It's much more affordable than staying in Flagstaff, yet close by: under five minutes by car to town, and easy freeway access to 40. Town feels like paradise.
