Grand Motel

The new owner was friendly, knew a lot about the Grand Canyon, and gave us helpful ideas for sights and places to eat. We also enjoyed the morning continental breakfast, which had a good variety. The room was nice despite the new owners still remodeling, the bed was comfortable, and the outside patio suited us completely. We liked the old Route 66 atmosphere and would gladly return. I'm rating it four because upgrades are still underway. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, nice, friendly motel.

The room was small but plenty big enough, very clean, and had a great bed. I liked the quiet, simple feel and retro style of this hotel, the first built in Williams on old Route 66 and about an hour from the Grand Canyon. The friendly owner clearly takes pride in restoring it, and the motel is listed in the National Registry of Historic Places. He was also very helpful with information on places to see nearby.

Rich and his wife give this place a real small-town feel, and I fell in love with both the motel and the town. Rich is the friendliest hotel owner I've met, always willing to help and happy to share what to do and see around the area. He's a fountain of information. The place has so much history, and I love staying somewhere like this. The beds were among the most comfortable I've ever slept in. It's still a diamond in the rough, but the new owners are working on small repairs, and it's still a lovely, quaint place to settle in for a night or two on a Grand Canyon trip. I had a wonderful stay and would happily come back again and again.

The new owners made us feel very welcome and had plenty of sightseeing suggestions. We enjoyed the good breakfast as a nice start to the day. The rooms were clean and nicely furnished, and the beds were really comfortable. We had a delightful stay.
