There’s plenty for the family to do here, from a small theater and scheduled activities like hot chocolate time to two rooms of free arcade games. The indoor and outdoor pools, along with a separate adults-only pool, were the biggest draw in both summer and winter. There’s also a year-round outdoor hot tub, but we didn’t tell the children about it because there are no lifeguards and we didn’t want to supervise them out there. In summer, the grandchildren enjoyed putt-putt, outdoor checkers, lawn games, tennis, and the playground. The location is central to the historic sites at Jamestown, Yorktown, and Williamsburg, and the Atlantic Ocean is less than two hours away. The grandchildren keep asking when we can go back. It’s a fantastic spot for a family trip or reunion.

There was plenty of space for our whole family to relax, and the rooms were much bigger than we expected. It was affordable for the amount of room we got, clean, and easy to settle into. We had a great family getaway and will stay here again on our next trip.

We were a family of six and had enough room to be comfortable. The holiday decorations around the grounds and buildings were lovely when we visited in mid-December. My 10-year-old especially enjoyed the game room and wanted more time there. Everyone liked the heated indoor pool, and towels were provided. The location was handy for the area’s sites and Williamsburg shopping. I appreciated the stocked full kitchen and the washer and dryer, with detergent for two loads, especially since I had my baby and toddler with me. The rooms look a bit dated, but they were clean, the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms updated, and the water hot. They called them cribs, but they’re pack n' plays, so bring a newborn insert if needed and a crib sheet. We’d definitely stay again.

The location works well for us, near grocery stores, fast food, sit-down restaurants, and within an easy drive of BG and Colonial. We can sometimes find deals that include tickets to different “things to do.” They do try to persuade guests to attend timeshare presentations, but you can decline. I haven’t had a chance to use the included amenities yet. My wife’s family has been coming to Williamsburg for more than 15 years, usually twice a year, in summer and for the Halloscream weekends at Busch Gardens in October. Their recent stays have been here, and I usually join for Halloscream because of work. They always choose this place because the rooms feel more like condos than hotel rooms, though they can still be connected. It’s always been very clean, with full kitchens, dishwashers, and sometimes washer/dryers in the closets. I’ll keep it at the top of my list and recommend it to others.
