We booked a family getaway, had relatives visit for a day, and spent a few days at Busch Gardens. Getting around was easy, with groceries, restaurants, and entertainment nearby. The gym was better than I expected, and wifi worked seamlessly from our unit to the amenities building. The playgrounds were good, the indoor pool was nice, and mini golf looked fun. We plan to return in warmer weather to use the outdoor pools.

The hotel’s layout worked really well, and the location was great. We had the basics in the kitchen to cook for the family, and the indoor pool was great too. Target is under a mile away, Harris Teeter is a few miles down the road, and Busch Gardens is a couple of miles away, with its water park right next door.

We love the units and location here, so we keep coming back. We were last there in August, and this Christmas delivery made me appreciate their amazing service even more. I’d ordered a speaker for my son through Walmart.com, but the site somehow used the Kings Creek address from our August stay and sent it to MD. Walmart wasn’t helpful, and the Post Ofc wouldn’t help either. Rachel at the front desk and Donny in Dispatch stepped in, reassured me, and saved the day. When it arrived, Rachel passed it to Donny. He called, got my details, and shipped it overnight. AWESOME service, and another reason I love Kings Creek.

We slept really well, and enjoyed the activities. Try the Sip and Paint, those ladies are so personable! The cottage was spotless and comfortable, with what we needed for the lunches and breakfasts we mostly made there. It had a blender for protein drinks, microwave, full-size fridge, and an apartment-size stacked washer and dryer that worked great. We brought our own soap pods, so I’m not sure whether the resort supplies those. There were plenty of dishwasher powder packets and a little dish soap. I brought coffee, but had to buy the 4-inch cone filters for the provided coffee maker.

We had a pretty good time overall, and the staff were fairly nice. They weren’t too pushy during the timeshare presentation. Our first-floor two-bedroom unit had a nice kitchen, and the bed in the room we used was comfortable. The resort is huge, with several pools and hot tubs. The indoor pool was heated but still a little chilly. We tried two hot tubs, and neither worked right. The first was only warm, with just a few working jets. The second had okay jets but made a sound like it was dying.
