Clarion Hotel & Suites Williston

I’ve stayed here three times, and it’s one of the better hotels in this area. The evening front desk women were outstanding, always helpful and welcoming, and the rooms were clean. It’s good for families too, with an indoor pool and slides, a hot tub, gaming room, casino, and a nice breakfast selection. The one thing that bothered me was the laundry room. It’s tucked away and not too bad otherwise, but the washer and dryer really need a good cleaning. I still loved the stay and would come back. Those evening desk staff deserve a raise.

The waffles at the complimentary breakfast were so good, and my room was spacious and clean. I had a really peaceful stay. Loved it, and I’ll definitely be back.

The room had lots of space, but the kitchenette was missing most of what I needed. I found M&M candies, gummy bears, and three tiny red pills. Google said they might be 30 mg SSRI antidepressants, which would’ve been awful if we’d had kids with us. The room was sort of clean, but the smell and the greasy-looking things people touch every day, like the switches, handles, and nightstands, made me feel gross. It wasn’t terrible, just not clean enough. The layout was confusing, though the location worked well for my job, and there’s a bar downstairs open from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Room service was poor. On a four-day stay, we got one trash bag for the kitchen and one for the bathroom, and the bagged rubbish wasn’t taken away each day. I ended up using one of my big black trash bags. There were plenty of towels, but they don’t change the sheets or bedding, so be ready to wash your own. The front desk was all right, but the place seemed understaffed or badly managed. I can’t believe they charge $123 a night, then raise it to $170 for the three busiest travel days. Not worth it to me. Then I woke up to find there was no weekend breakfast, and our room phone couldn’t call the front desk or anyone else. It could receive calls from the desk, which was just odd.

The other guy’s room had no hot water, and the water coming out was freezing, around 50 degrees. My own experience wasn’t great either. I asked the front desk woman for the luggage cart so I could take my bags to my truck, but she barely looked and said it wasn’t in the office. It wasn’t there when I found it, either.
