STAY ELSEWHERE if you can. Hot water is hit or miss, though housekeeping does a good job with the cleaning. Don’t look too closely at the floors, especially in the corners and cracks, or at the faucets and HVAC units. And don’t walk on the grass. Exterior door latches are broken, piles of junk keep accumulating, and people besides the housekeeper may let themselves into your room during the day. A couple of the housekeeping ladies are phenomenal and treat you like an old friend. The rest of the experience is a pit. After one week of our three-week stay, I was made to pack up and leave because the room had been booked online and supposedly couldn’t be extended. That was the final straw. She said people get displaced by this “error” “all the time,” as if big corporations booking rooms for months somehow short them or take advantage without paying. I went back to rekey my card after the “error” was corrected and asked for her name. Instead, she wanted to hold my key, gave me even more elaborate excuses, and threatened to ban me from the property. I walked away without my key and still never got the name. To the brunette with glasses and no empathy or professionalism, the one who “does all the room sales here”: you shouldn’t work in customer service.

All three beds in my suite were dirty, and the countertops and nightstands were covered in sticky grime. The walls and doors are paper thin. When I told the front desk person the cleaning staff didn’t seem to know how to use a vacuum, she laughed and smiled, like it didn’t surprise her.

It’s a nice hotel, though the nearby construction makes getting around a bit of a pain. It should be nicer once the work is finished.

For what this costs, don’t stay here. My company paid top prices, but housekeeping didn’t clean the shower or vacuum our rooms. Even after we asked for cleaning, they still couldn’t vacuum the carpets or clean the bathtub. This is the worst cleaning service I’ve had in many years of hotel stays.

They had no hot water. When I asked for another room, I was told the whole hotel was without hot water and a plumber had been working on it for several days in a row. Nobody mentioned it when I checked in, which sounded like a bald-faced lie. I’ve stayed here many times before, but I’ll never stay again.
