Courtyard Willoughby

The staff were fantastic and quickly, politely moved us when we asked for another room. The first night in room 305 was awful, with springs jabbing into our ribs and hips from both beds. We also found black mildew chunks in the third-floor ice machine. The hot tub had a cover over it, and we learned it had been broken and shut down for a while, which was a major disappointment. I would've booked elsewhere if I'd known. When I search for a hotel, I look for AC, free parking, a hot tub, and a pool. The conditions here weren't great, and despite the great location, I won't stay at this Marriott again on future visits.

The restaurant was the letdown. Half the items listed on the in-room menu aren't available, and the scrambled eggs I ordered looked like something burned and passed off as eggs. Definitely not worth $14. The rooms themselves are good, with plenty of outlets and lighting choices, and the bathroom was clean and modern. Staff were friendly.

The mattress was the worst part of my stay. It was so worn that I could feel the springs, and when I checked the brand, it seemed like a lower-quality mattress. The AC was very loud overnight. The hotel feels a little run down, though my room and bathroom were clean. Room: 313 Date: May 7, 2026

The room's bed was very comfortable, but the towels were so tiny and thin that even I, a small person, found them too small. It was clean to a point, though there was mold in the shower and bathroom and dust throughout. The hotel itself feels run down: doors only close if you hold the handles on both sides and shut them very quickly, there are holes in hallway walls, and much of it seems 50-plus years old. At check-in, the front desk clerk seemed annoyed to get up from her phone, said very little, handed me the keys, then went back to her phone. The bistro worker that night acted the same way. The bistro manager, though, was super nice and hardworking. She took our food and coffee orders with a big smile on New Year's Eve morning. Sorry I didn't catch her name. The location is great, but most of the staff weren't friendly.
