The Quoin Hotel

Alec, the manager, handled our reservation so thoughtfully and made our first night of honeymoon feel special and seamless. Even though we arrived late, Ms. Dana went out of her way to welcome us and make sure we had what we needed. The whole team showed how much they care about their guests. The beautiful space was memorable, and we’re grateful we started our trip at The Quoin Hotel on our way up to Maine. It set a lovely tone for the rest of the honeymoon.

For $600 a night, I expected better access to restaurants and shops. There’s very little around the hotel, and what is there seems to close on Sundays. The room itself was fine and nicely decorated, but the beds were uncomfortable. A lot of light comes through the windows, and on the third floor the rooftop bar noise can get pretty bad. I’m not sure how this place claims 4 stars.

The Quoin is a stylish, classy conversion of an old building into a small boutique hotel in downtown Wilmington, Delaware. The rooms, restaurant, and speakeasy are all very nice. Since it’s a small place, staffing is limited, but the team is kind and professional. Leyna is the best.

Our company holiday party at The Quoin this past Saturday was a hit. The room was well appointed and classy, and the venue’s beautiful space, food, drinks, and atmosphere all came together. Staff were attentive and went above and beyond, making the whole event feel smooth from start to finish. Everyone on our team remarked on how well it ran. We’ll be back for future events. I highly recommend The Quion for dinner, rooftop or speakeasy drinks, or a quick hotel getaway.
