Travelodge by Wyndham Winslow

A handy place along I40, with fast food within walking distance. The rooms are clean and neat. We always choose the setup with one king and two full size beds, which works great when we're traveling as a family.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the pillows were soft. The bed itself was hard as a rock, though. We also had to slam the door to get it to close properly, which didn't make us feel secure. The hotel sits right under the highway, and the area felt sketchy overall.

Compared with other economy motels I've stayed in, some of which were just plain scary, this one was a great value for the price. The rooms are pretty spartan, but clean, with basic amenities that seem fairly updated. It's right by the interstate, and Mayur, the manager on duty, was extremely helpful.

This place is a dive. It was a cheap room, so I shouldn't be so salty, but the photos feel misleading. They must have cleaned all day to get those shots. Take the disinfecting wipes from the front desk, you'll need them for the toilet. I'll definitely wear flip-flops in the shower. Dirty, dirty, dirty. There's no gym and no coffee pot in the room. Management, clean, fix the gym, paint, and make at least a few updates.
