The room had plenty of space for the extra medical equipment we needed, and it was clean and comfortable. We could see the well-lit, monitored parking lot from our room, which gave us some peace of mind. The hotel also had good security: room keys were needed to enter at certain times, and there was extra security late at night. Staff made this birthday weekend with my daughter special. Mr. Brown found us an accessible room even though none were available when we booked. The lobby worker cleaned every day and was always careful about my daughter slipping as I pushed her wheelchair. The manager checked in daily about accessible parking while the lot was being resurfaced. The two front desk ladies were so sweet and helped with the elevator when we carried breakfast upstairs. Everyone greeted my daughter and made her feel special. Breakfast was delicious, with different hot choices each day, and it ran later than most places, until 10 a.m. There's good shopping and food nearby. We'll stay again. Thanks for making our weekend fantastic!

I arrived at Hyatt Place Charlotte/University Research Park around 8:00 a.m. on the 5th after car trouble delayed my trip, but my booking for the 4th-6th had been canceled and nobody offered a room or another remedy. I had paid for two days and got neither a refund nor credit for the canceled part. Staff couldn't give me a useful explanation, help me rebook, or say what they would do to resolve it. I was left without a place to stay and out the money, which has made me hesitant to book here again. The hotel should communicate clearly when it cancels a reservation and offer workable options, such as rescheduling, another nearby property, or a partial refund or credit. Staff should be able to help guests who arrive late after a cancellation, and billing should be reviewed so guests aren't charged for a stay they couldn't use because of hotel-side decisions or overbooking. I'm sharing this so future guests know what happened. I won't book this Hyatt Place again unless its handling of cancellations, communication, and refunds noticeably improves.

Deborah at the front desk made our two-day trip. She was warm, thoughtful, and friendly, with a lovely smile whenever we spoke. The beds were comfortable and breakfast was clean and excellent, but Deborah was what made the stay feel five-star. Thanks, Debbie. We appreciated you and hope to come back.

We stayed twice in the past month, and the hotel was clean both times. I'm a Hyatt member and usually stay at Hyatts, and this was easily the best customer service we've had. Nobody needed to contact staff with a problem, but they kept checking how we were doing, asked if we needed anything, and greeted us in the lobby. It felt genuine. The front desk ladies and one gentleman were delightful and clearly enjoy giving people good hospitality. They were lovely with our Lab, Lucy, too. Thanks for making our stays great. We'll be back!
