We’ve stayed here twice, and the second visit was far worse. The price was reasonable and the location was great when I booked a double queen online. But when we arrived Saturday evening, the room smelled strongly of cigarettes. I reported it at the office, and the employee came in with an empty air freshener can and sprayed into the air conditioner. The room had a stovetop, microwave, small sink, and refrigerator; the fridge worked, but the stovetop had food and debris on it, and the countertops were covered in grime. The bathroom was nasty, with an uncleaned toilet, mildew in the shower, and a dirty shower curtain. The floors had black film and muddy footprints and didn’t look swept or mopped. The linens had all kinds of hair on them and clearly weren’t clean. We brought our own sheets, thank goodness, because what was provided was unacceptable. There are other options, so please explore them.

I travel for work and chose this place for its location, then spent more than six weeks in a room beside a staircase where demolition started the day after I arrived. It continued every day, and since I work nights, I couldn’t sleep. The fire alarm went off daily during construction, and none of this was mentioned when I booked. The staff were rude, the washing machines didn’t work, and guests were told to report equipment problems themselves to the 1800# printed on the machine. Housekeeping was practically nonexistent. In three weeks my room was cleaned once, and I had to beg for vacuuming. The housekeeper tried, but the vacuum wasn’t working. Other times I was told to get clean linens and a broom at the front desk and do it myself. This place is absolutely garbage. I would NEVER stay at any extended stay America again, NEVER!!!!

The staff were friendly, and we found a nice little community among the guests who stay long term. We spent a month in room 218 and were surprised after reading the negative reviews. The room was clean on arrival, the appliances all worked, and the firm bed was comfortable. Water pressure was good, hot water lasted a long time, and the air conditioner cooled so well I had to switch it off a couple of times, even with temperatures in the high 90s. The 24/7 laundry room has detergent for sale in the vending machine, along with snacks and soda. The rooms match the photos, though ours had just one closet, which was big enough. The building could use a pressure wash, and the walls are a bit thin, as is common in hotels. The location is great, with Barnes & Noble and Twin Peaks within walking distance. Pavillions Shopping Center looks close, but a steep wooded slope means you have to walk around the block to reach it. A staircase there would help. We’d stay again if we were in the area.

The comfortable beds and the gentleman at the front desk, who helped us with our room, were the only real positives for me and my family. Our room smelled strongly of pets, the carpet felt sticky, and one of the double beds had a dirty comforter with pet hair on it. The cable service was poor and didn’t even include the weather channel. We won’t be back.
