Budget Inn Winter Haven

The shower curtain kept sticking to me because it was so close, and the warm water pulled it toward my body. Even turning on the AC made the room smell like urine. At first, room 24 just seemed heavily sprayed with cleaners, but the smell got worse the longer I stayed, and I couldn't remain in there. I took a shower to wash the smell off and couldn't even do that comfortably. The health department should visit this place. Given how bad the room was, I should have received a full refund.

The owners at Budget Inn are the best hotel owners in Polk County. They and their wife are so nice and understanding, and they make sure you have fresh sheets and towels, soap, and toilet paper. I've reviewed over 15 hotels from here to Lakeand, Eagle Lake, and Bartow, and he's the best guy, with such a sweet wife. He loves the hotel and takes pride in his work. Great work, and I've never had a problem. Cynthia, my bestie, can help you. She's the best, a hard worker, and always there to do the job. Miss Marie fills in for the owners. There's free wifi on site and a laundry room with new LG machines with wifi, $3.00 for the washer and $3.00 for the dryer. This is the best hotel in Winter Haven, part of Winter Haven history. It's on 6th St NW. It might get a bad name because of the walkers and local loster. I've been in Polk County for 19years. I came on the Greyhound bus station, and the building is still there. The newest smoke shop in town, go see my man, he's got great price and the customers is the best there. If you're ever in the Polk County area and want to know history, step on in back 1950 and you might want to stay awhile.

I stumbled across this place by accident during a road trip when I needed a bed at the last minute. It seems like somewhere you'd go to get off the grid, and you'll need to bring your own soap and shampoo. The sheets had stains, and I could have sworn there was a faint smell coming from them. At least there was a fridge and microwave, though the TV kept turning off. People next door were screaming, and I heard glass breaking. It didn't feel safe. Maybe it's an option on a budget if you don't mind paying over $100 for a nasty room.

My husband and I have been staying here for a while, and it's been pleasant. I don't know what the people who left bad reviews are talking about. We feel very safe, the beds are comfy, and the linen is clean every day. The manager, Sophie, is sweet and respectful. Rosie from housekeeping and her sister Barbara couldn't be nicer or more accommodating. I've never seen bedbugs or any bugs at all. The weekly rates are reasonable, and beautiful Lake Howard is right behind the property. I love the retro look. It feels like what I imagine old Florida was like. I'd definitely recommend this nice little hotel to anyone staying in Winter Haven, and we'll be here a while. Thank you, signed Janice Leise.
