Christmas Mountain Campground

The kids liked the pools, and the campground was generally pleasant and fairly quiet. A few golf balls occasionally hit the side of our camper from the course, though. The sites aren't very level, and while the bathrooms were clean, the showers could use some work. At arrival, they tried to assign us a site that was clearly too short for our rig. I had deliberately listed a size bigger than our actual rig when booking, so this wouldn't happen. Luckily there were other sites available. Otherwise, it could have been a disaster. The man at the front desk also seemed lost, assumed I knew how to get to the RV section, and gave us very little information.

Christmas Mountain has loads of amenities and is a fun spot for a weekend or even a full week. If you want a change of scene, the Dells is only a short drive away. I took the tour to get some of the other perks and just said no to the sales pitch. It was worth it.

The campground was fine, though some sites really aren't level, just as they warned us. We needed extra leveling blocks to steady our trailer. It was quiet at night, there was plenty to do for recreation, and everyone was pleasant and helpful. I stayed in the RV park while playing in one of their golf tournaments. Unfortunately, the indoor pool and facilities were closed for renovations during our visit.
