Starlite Motel

We come back to the Dells every year, and we're happy with our stay each time. The owners are so friendly and fantastic, and this is our favorite place to stay here. Everything is very clean!

The location made it easy to get around. Kwik Trip was about a four-minute walk, and Showboat Saloon took around nine minutes on foot. We stayed one night in ground-floor room 21, where we could park right outside the door. The woman at the desk was wonderful, friendly and accommodating. Inside, there was a queen bed, table and two chairs, a tiny fridge, microwave, TV, and one nightstand with a lamp. A second nightstand and lamp would've been useful. The AC worked okay with its remote. The bathroom was clean, though the towels were tiny and there were only two of each: washcloths, hand towels, and bath towels. To flush, you have to keep the handle down until the bowl empties. The bed was very firm, and the pillows were flat and hard. We asked for two more, but if you're particular about pillows, bring your own. I wish both the bed and pillows had been more comfortable.

The pool was clean and well maintained, and our rooms were very clean too. My son, his girlfriend, my one-year-old grandson, and I stayed here for three nights. The owners were so friendly and accommodating. They even moved my grandson's wagon out of the rain while we were away. That was thoughtful. I'd rather spend my money here than at a chain hotel in the Dells, and we'll be back in a few weeks.

We only stayed one night, but it was well worth it. The owners kindly let us check in late. We'd definitely come back.
