Comfort Suites Avenel

The room I was assigned smelled pungent as soon as the elevator opened on that floor, even though the lobby looked nice and smelled great. I wondered if they take in unhoused people during winter. The service was excellent, and the breakfast area was very clean with delicious food. The location was fine. Of the two beds, one was literally broken. I'm not sure, but I think it had a box spring instead of a proper mattress. I heard cracking like wood splintering and could feel a 2x4 along the edge.

We travel this route often for our trucking business and are regulars at the Comfort Inn, usually booking the spacious, clean king suite with the comforts we need on the road. There's a bar on site and plenty of snacks and frozen food if we don't want to leave the hotel. It's family oriented and very diverse, which I love. My company wholeheartedly recommends staying here when you're in the area. The staff are amazing and accommodating. I usually work with Griffin-Mgr., who's personable and friendly with every guest, and Kevin is great too. Thank you to them and the Comfort Inn staff.

A nice, very clean place with a good breakfast and polite desk staff. It was reasonably priced and close to the office where I had a meeting. Kerry, thank you for the great service you gave my husband and me. Love you, girl.

Some parts of the hotel are getting dated, but it was spotless, smelled heavenly, and had comfortable beds. The staff were top notch and treated us like family visiting for the holidays. We left our special needs son's tablet behind, and they called to let us know they would keep it safe until we could come back for it. Such a great stay.
