Best Western Potomac Mills

Breakfast was very good, and the pillows were the best I’ve found at a hotel. The bed was comfortable and the room was good too. There were some downsides: the people next door were loud, the AC was noisy, and the toilet didn’t flush well.

After arriving exhausted at 9:30 pm, I needed to do laundry for my daughter before the next day. The machines weren’t labeled clearly, and when I asked the front desk woman which was the washer and dryer, she told me to figure it out because she couldn’t leave the desk. She was counting bills when I asked her to change $10 into coins. I put my clothes in the wrong machine, then moved them to the other washer myself. The machine often didn’t show the money going down after I put in coins, so I went back to ask for help. She said she didn’t have the key to open it and couldn’t give me my coins back. There was no solution or useful answer. When I asked her to call the manager, she said the manager might be sleeping. I was really upset. I’ve never had an experience like it, and the service was the worst.

I liked my stay, but the sofa and chair in the business king room had nasty stains. I was also charged the security deposit right away because I checked out one minute late. I’ve never had a hotel do that, and if the cutoff is so strict, guests should be told. At noon I went to the service desk and was rudely told to wait because the employee was busy. I waited 15 minutes, which I’m sure meant I missed checkout time.

The rooms looked beautiful, the staff were amazing, and breakfast was pretty good. We had a really good time here and I’d recommend it for sure.
