This was the cleanest inn we found on our nine days driving up the coast, and the beds even smelled clean. The rooms were pretty and comfortable, toiletries were provided, and we slept well without outside noise. Staff were friendly, and there’s a breakfast bar in the lobby. We also loved the stunning sitting area by the river, a bonus at this low price. It’s dog friendly and supplies beds and bowls for pets. Set on the edge of town, it’s handy for shopping, restaurants, and access to Mt.St Helens. As someone who reviews motels, inns, and hotels, I can honestly put this in my top three recommendations for traveling in the West.

The river walk is beautiful, and the whole property felt surprisingly quiet and peaceful despite being fairly close to other roads. My room was super comfortable and clean to my high standards. Tiffany and the team were kind and accommodating, and helped when booking.com messed up my reservation.

I spent one night here for a concert and regretted it. The website photos don’t accurately show the rooms or property. I only spotted the BLACK MOLD the next morning, after a night of allergies. The carpet was ancient and dirty, and the lamp, microwave, and fridge were all old. Breakfast was inedible: stale bagels, rock-hard biscuits and gravy, and waffles. The property approved a refund when I asked, but I had to contact Booking.com to get it. Booking reached out to the property, which then offered me a free night instead. I declined, and still haven’t heard back from either the property or Booking. I’ll never return. They couldn’t take responsibility and make things right after I had black mold in my room.

The rooms overlooking the river have beautiful views and a peaceful feel. We chose this place instead of the big towns charging far too much and found the rate acceptable. The bed didn’t feel hard to us, unlike what other reviews said. Staff were welcoming, genuine, and always smiling. Our room had a lot of lovely extra touches, and the property was very clean with well-kept decor. We’ll stay again.

Our room may have been one of the more recently remodeled ones. It was lovely and very clean, with a beautiful view of the lake.
